Chocolate Cluster // Valentine's Treats
8:07 PM
This recipe is so easy and takes no time at all. The crunchy texture and the peanut butter fused so well together that you won't stop eating. At least, I think I won't.
Let's check out how you can make this beautiful glossy chocolate clusters!
Ingredients (makes 16 clusters)
1 bar of semi sweet chocolate/ chocolate button ( about 100g)
2 tbsp of peanut butter (or more!)
2 handful of cornflakes or any cereals of your choice
Steps
1. Break up chocolate in a bowl, put in the peanut butter and melt it over hot water until glossy. ( Click in my previous post to find out how)
2. Pour it the cornflakes into the melted chocolate and coat the cornflakes evenly.
3. Drop a heaping tablespoon of the mixture on a parchment paper or a plate that's slightly oiled.
4. Add on sprinkles if desire and put it in the fridge for 10 minutes and you are ready to eat!
5. You can serve it as so or put it in a container.
Tips
1. You can put in more cornflakes if you like so long the cornflakes are coated with chocolate evenly.
2. I prefer using dark chocolate or semi sweet chocolate as I think it tasted better with peanut butter.White chocolate is a little too sweet for this recipe.
3. If you are using a bar of chocolate, do break it into smaller pieces before melting to save up time.
4. If you are allergic to peanut, just omit the peanut butter and it will taste as good.
5. You can play around with the combination by adding nuts or dried fruits if you like the taste.
6.There's no need to be too specific on the quantity of the ingredients, just play by ears!
7. If you are putting the mixture on a plate, do pour a little oil on a kitchen towel and wipe it on the plate to avoid the chocolate from sticking on the plate.
8. I use a little tin box that was lying around my house and pile it with shredded paper before putting in the clusters.
