Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe // Sunway Pyramid

I have always been a huge fan of Hello Kitty and am very eager to dine in in their gourmet cafe especially when is so near to your place!
I visited this place a few months after the opening (the queue was horrifying during the opening!)
I wasn't expecting good food as I'm aware that most theme cafe didn't score on this particular sector but it came out to be better than my expectation.
I really like the ambience of the cafe- cozy,chill and pretty in pastel.

We ordered a Wonderland Waffle which was in the Kid's Selection.
The waffle was fluffy and warm, paired with fresh fruits, jam, drizzle of sugar syrup and marshmallow. Definitely photogenic, taste was acceptable with the price we were paying.

Super duper cute but the price was super duper "cute" too.
The spaghetti was cooked till al-dente, coated in white sauce and strips of smoked salmon. It tasted rather bland and it seems like the smoked salmon was in the dish as decorative purpose. Portion was small, certainly not enough for two person.

We ordered a slice of strawberry cheese cake for dessert. It passed the bench mark for being cute, not so much on the taste. I would prefer the cake with a thicker cheese layer instead of having whipped cream and sponge cake sandwiching the strawberry and cheese.All of their sliced cake were sold at RM20 flat price, regardless of flavours.

I was told that the only hot drink with the hello kitty cocoa stencils was the Cappucino.
Our server seems to have a struggle to bring the coffee to our table ( nearly split it) and the cappucino was more like latte with the non-existence of foam.

All in all, I still managed to enjoyed myself with a lot of nice picure corner. The food was decent but a tad too pricey, but oh well, you can't call yourself a theme cafe unless it is overpriced right?
I do think that the service can be improved with more attentive and efficient staff.
