Tokyo Ramen // Atria Shopping Gallery
3:04 AM
Good news for all ramen lovers in Klang Valley area, we have a new
star in town!
Located
at Atria Shopping Gallery, Tokyo Ramen by Mengokoro Kunimoto served 4 types of ramen along
with rice and other side dishes. The
furnishing was quite unlike the others as it had a homely, soft touch on
its ambience design.
I paid two
visits to this place and had tried 3 out of 4 types of ramen they had.
During my first
visit, I ordered a shoyu ramen set which came with a soy sauce pork rice. (Something
similar to shogayaki)
Shoyu Ramen Set RM31.90 |
Shoyu Ramen had
a light broth with the based of chicken. It was served with noodles which were
VERY springy, topped with a slice of chashu, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots,
seaweed and spring onion.
Shoyu Ramen |
I really like
how the spring onion enhanced the flavour of the broth and the whole thing was
just very comforting and warm. Personally, I always thought that Japanese
cuisine used magic fairy dust to make their veggies crunchier and sweeter.
Pork Rice (Garlic/Oinion) |
We
got to choose between garlic and onion for the pork rice and we opted for the
onion ones. The sweetness of the onion certainly matched with the soy sauce
pork slices which was slightly fatty and tender. It went very well with rice
and I can still stuffed it in even after a regular ramen. It was that good!
Special Dragon Miso Ramen RM 30.90 |
Besides the basic ingredients that were similar with the Shoyu Ramen, Tokyo
Ramen served their special ramen with extra chashu, melty eggs, minced pork and
leek.
The broth was slightly spicy, miso taste based on pork bone soup. The taste fused in harmoniously with the ingredients.

Special Tonkatsu Ramen RM29.90 |
Special
tonkatsu ramen was somewhat similar special spicy ramen with all the
ingredients and soup based. Good for someone that wanted something rich but not
spicy. I thought it paired well with the condiments- garlic and spicy oil. You
can mix and match all the condiments and see which you like the most.
Melty yolks! |
Sake + Mentai Rice RM15 |
This is love! I’m a total biased towards sake
and mentai. There were one of the best combination to serve on a piping hot
rice. Nothing more but the umami from the mentai, melting in my mouth.
Isn’t she lovely?
